Cake Empire’s flavours & fillings
At Cake Empire we have our traditional five flavours and fillings which are:
– Vanilla sponge paired with buttercream and raspberry jam
– Lemon sponge paired with lemon buttercream
– Chocolate sponge paired with chocolate buttercream
– Red velvet sponge paired with buttercream
– Caribbean fruit cake (covered with marzipan)
Hold on there’s more.. we didn’t want all are exclusive flavours just available for our cake jars so we’ve added on our top 2 popular flavours from our cake jars to be available for our bespoke cake orders which are salted caramel and cookie dough (you can thank me later). These fillings will be available for both vanilla and chocolate cakes.
We are a bespoke business so please feel free to ask us about flavours that aren’t on the list, we love trying out new recipes in the kitchen!
Our layers per cake are either two or three, this is dependent on customer preference or just based on how many servings is needed. Most of our cakes are between four to five inches tall once finished. Please note that before our fondant cakes get covered we crumb coat in ganache to give us a perfect foundation to work with. Ganache consists of chocolate and double cream, cream is classed as an allergen as it contains milk, this will be stated on every invoice and information cards for fondant cakes. The type of ganache used is based on the flavour of the cake, so white chocolate ganache is used on vanilla, lemon and red velvet cakes. Dark chocolate ganache is used on chocolate cakes, however milk chocolate ganache is also available if you’re not a fan of dark chocolate.
